RELATIVE PRONOUNS

Relative pronouns are used when you refer back to something (or someone) mentioned earlier in the sentence.

Examples are:

Who/whom - that - whose - which.

RELATIVE PRONOUNS

We use:

who and whom for people.

which for things.

that for people or things.

Whose when talking about possession.

Where is used when referring to a location.

EXAMPLE SENTENCES

1. I talked to the girl whose car had broken down in front of the shop.
2. I live in a house in Norwich, which is in East Anglia.
3. This is the girl who comes from Spain.
