Watch Hasan Minhaj’s video, in the next slide, on the 2019 Indian elections. Does the video confirm Adiga’s portrayal of Indian politics? If so, how? Give examples given in the video. Rigged elections and voter fraud are commonly believed to be merely a problem in so-called banana republics or autocratic countries. However, scare tactics and bureaucratic obstacles have always been weapons to keep people away from voting, even in countries which claim to be examples of democracy.
