Adjectives

Een adjective is in het Nederlands een bijvoeglijk naamwoord.

Je gebruikt een adjective om een zelfstandig naamwoord te omschrijven.

Voorbeeld: She is beautiful

Adjectives

Je kan een adjective op 2 plaatsen in de zin zetten

- Voor een zelfstandig naamwoord

- Achter een vorm van 'to be'

She is a good person

She is beautiful

Adverbs

 Een adverb is in het Nederlands een bijwoord.

Een adverb zegt iets over een werkwoord of een bijvoeglijk naamwoord. Een adverb zegt iets over de manier waarop iets gebeurt of legt ergens nadruk op

Voorbeeld: She sings beautifully

                            My mom is really crazy!

Adverbs

• Je maakt een adverb door -ly aan het woord toe te voegen:
• He walked quickly (zegt iets over HOE iemand loopt)
• She buys a magazine weekly (zegt iets over HOE VAAK iemand iets koopt)
• She is really crazy (nadruk leggen)

Exceptions:

- easy > easily

- horrible > horribly

automatic > automatically
