1. At the end of the lesson, this group will be able to write an informal letter to a friend with some additional instructions (and maybe with additional help from an extra sheet and/or a dictionary).

3. At the end of the lesson, this group will be able to correctly apply the future tense when writing an informal letter.

1. At the end of the lesson, this group will be able to write an informal letter to a friend with additional instructions, a dictionary, and an extra sheet.

The future tense

There are several ways to indicate that you are going to do something using the future tense.

- ‘Zullen’

- Spontane (snelle) acties (Bijv. “Hold on, I will do it!”)

- Als het niet zeker is (Bijv. “I think Ajax will win.”)

- Weersvoorspellingen (Bijv. “Tomorrow it will rain in the south.”)

The future tense

Am/are/is going to

- ‘Gaan doen’ / van plan zijn

- Je ziet het bewijs (Bijv. “Look at those clouds! It’s going to rain!”)

You should be ready to get started now! When you're done, you can read your letter out loud to a classmate within your group.

Group 2

If you can't work it out, you can ask me for an extra sheet and/or dictionary that will help you with your assignment. It’s all up to you if you need the extra help or not.

Group 3

I will sit down with your group to give you further instructions. You will also get an extra sheet and a dictionary to help you with your assignment.
