Present Perfect with for and since

Present Perfect and Past Simple

refers to a period of time:  I've lived in Rio for many years.

refers to a point in time: They've had this bar since 1970.

We have been to Sao Paolo

We went to Sao Paolo in 2012. (one specific point in time)

Make sentences in the Present Perfect:
My family / own / this café / 2010

Make sentences in the Present Perfect:
We / not eat / anty food / breakfast time

Make sentences in the Present Perfect:

The Past Simple vs The Present Perfect

We use the Past Simple for events that are FINISHED

We use The Present Perfect fo events that refer to a duration in time.

Past Simple: My family lived here for 12 years. (not any more)

Pesent Perfect: My family have lived here for 12 yeas now. (still there)

Complete the dialogue.
