Linking words
Linking words (voegwoorden) worden gebruikt om twee zinnen samen te voegen. 
Examples: And, But, Because, for example, first/ second, next, finally, in fact, for example etc.
Betekenis van voegwoorden: Laten zien wat de verbinding is tussen de zinnen

  1. BUT (maar): Tegenstelling met de vorige zin.                                                                       She wants to buy a car but can't afford it. 
  2. AND (en): Toevoeging aan vorige zin                                                                                Last Sunday, we went to the movies and we also grabbed dinner together.
  3. BECAUSE (omdat): Reden van vorige zin                                                                                        I did not go to school yesterday because I was sick. 
  4. SO (dus): Reden/resultaat van vorige zin                                                                                It was a long journey, so I’m really tired now.
