Wanneer: Als iets in het verleden is gebeurd

Signaalwoorden: yesterday, in 1999, last week

Hoe maak je het: Werkwoord + ed of onregelmatige ww.

Past simple vragend

Hoe? Did ...... hele werkwoord (dus zonder -ed)

Voorbeeld:  Did you play soccer when you were younger?

Did they eat chicken yesterday?

Did we cook dinner last week? 

....... you ........ (run) the marathon last year? 

Past simple ontkennend

Hoe? did not/didn't  + hele werkwoord

Voorbeeld: I did not/didn't do my homework

She didn't do the dishes yesterday.

We didn't go to the parc last week.

Kyjardo ........ (not-eat) the rice and chicken yesterday. 

Vul in:

Past Simple - Regular Verbs

After a regular verb you put '-ed'

I walk -> I walked

He walks -> He walked

They walk -> They walked

Past Simple - Irregular verbs

Sommige werkwoorden krijgen niet '-ed' aan het eind, Ze hebben hun eigen "vorm"

(to) write ->    wrote;       I wrote her a letter last week

(to) go       ->    went;        He went to Italy last year

(to) make ->    made;      They made a very nice meal two days ago

Er zijn geen regels voor de onregelmatige werkwoorden
