Present Simple

- Bij feiten, gewoonten en regelmatige gebeurtenissen.
- Hele werkwoord of werkwoord + s (he/she/it)
   ->  I walk, he walks      We eat, she eats     You take, it takes

- Vraagzinnen: "do/does" + werkwoord                  "Do you read?"
- Ontkenningen: "don't/doesn't" + werkwoord    "I don't read."

Present Continuous

- Dingen die nu aan de gang zijn
- Om irritatie uit te drukken
- Am/is + werkwoord + ing
   -> I am reading      He is eating     They are driving
- Vraagzinnen: am/is + werkwoord + ing           "Are you reading?"
- Ontkenningen: am/is not + werkwoord + ing  "I am not reading"

Verschil?

- Altijd zo (present simple) of op dit moment (continuous)
- Let op signaal woorden: 
   Present simple = always, never, often, usually
   Present continuous = now, at the moment, currently, right now

6. We _____ (go) to the cinema this weekend.

7. My mum _____ (clean) the kitchen every day.

8. How long _____ (she stay) in London?

9. He usually _____ (do) his homework in the evening.

10. My mum and dad _____ (go) on holiday tomorrow.

Object plus infinitive

Wat is het?

-> I told him     to sit     down. 
-> Mum would like you     to do     the groceries. 

- De "to + hele werkwoord" vorm gebruik je na werkwoorden 
   die een wens of bevel uitdrukken. 
- Vaak bij werkwoorden zoals: ask, expect, mean, order, tell, 
   warn, would like, would love

Let op:

- Na de werkwoorden "let" & "make, en na werkwoorden die
   een waarneming met je zintuigen aangeven gebruik je niet
   "to". 

-> Tom let me use his phone. 
-> She made us feel so at home. 
-> We heard somebody close the door.
