Early farmers

The Ice Age

- Around 10.000 BC the Ice age ended
- The Ice age was a period of 100.000 years in which Europe was covered in thick ice. 
- Only hunting was possible

So what happened...

• The Earth warmed up
  
• The ice and snow disappeared
  
• Africa and the Middle-East even got drier
• Animals moved to the most fertile areas.
• Humans of course followed them
