 Have you ever received treats for doing well in school? But do these rewards really motivate you in the long run? Students often get rewards like candy or pizza parties for good performance. However, relying on these rewards can actually reduce students' intrinsic motivation and cause them to rush through tasks just to get the reward, missing important learning opportunities.
