Slide 20 - Sleepvraag

Today is the big day. It is moving day.
Mr. and Mrs. Morton and three very large men are packing a moving van. Wyatt sits outside on the front step. He is wearing a Chicago Cubs hat, a t-shirt and jeans and is holding his favorite baseball and glove. He looks really sad. He looks at his parents and at the moving van.

“What can I do?” he thinks. “I hate leaving my friends … again. But this time it is worse, we are moving to a different country!” He shrugs his shoulders and sighs. “It’s not fair that my sister Jordyn gets to stay behind for a bit.” Jordyn is staying with their aunt until she has finished school.

Slide 21 - Tekstslide

Wyatt’s sister, Karen, runs downstairs and comes racing out of the house with a scarf around her neck and carrying her coat. She is listening to music and dancing. She is happy and excited. At 18 years old, the move to London is going to be a big adventure.

The doors of the van slam shut. The three men get into the front of the van and drive away. Mr. and Mrs. Morton wave as the truck drives off into the distance. They look over at Wyatt and Karen, smile and tell them to get into the car. It’s time to go to the airport. “Let’s go, kids!”

Slide 22 - Tekstslide

Wyatt stands up and slowly walks to the car. Karen is on her cell phone talking to a friend, she is happy to get into the car.

The car drives down the street, into the city and to the airport. Wyatt looks sadly out the window. The family runs into the airport, through security and to their gate. They make their flight just in time!

Inside the plane, Wyatt looks out the window as the plane takes off. He looks down below and sees the roof of the airport and then they fly over a lake. Slowly they go up into the clouds leaving his home behind him.

He shuts his eyes and dreams of sunny days and having fun, but then the dream changes and he sees dark clouds that change shape and become sad and angry faces.
