Regel 1: To be and auxiliary verbs.
        To be
- I am late.
- Am I late?
- I am not late.
  Auxiliary verb
- I can help you. 
- Can I help you?
- I cannot help you.
Auxiliary verbs = hulpwerkwoord
Vb: can, may, have, could, should, would, might, must, shall, will.

Regel 1: To be and auxiliary verbs.
To be
- I am late.
- Am I late?
- I am not late.
Auxiliary verb
- I can help you. 
- Can I help you?
- I cannot help you.
Auxiliary verbs = hulpwerkwoord
Vb: can, may, have, could, should, would, might, must, shall, will.
1- Bij vragende zin komt het ww. vooraan te staan.

2- Bij ontkennende zin komt 'not' achter het ww.

- I eat the cake.
- Do I eat the cake?
- I don't eat the cake.
1- Bij vragende zin komt het hulpww. to do vooraan te staan. Het hoofdww. komt in de stam te staan.

2- Bij ontkennende zin komt het hulpww 'do not' of 'does not' voor het hoofdww. te staan.
