Hospitality Managers

Welcome, we are from the hospitality department, in this department we offer all kinds of educations from cook and waitress to hospitality manager. The students in this class are all first year hospitality manager students. You may have seen the restaurant downstairs. In this restaurant our students practice their serving, cooking and manager skills. For today we rescheduled to another classroom in which we have plenty of room for all of us to work together in groups and getting to know each other.

Introduction exercise I

Fill in the paper with questions. Make sure nobody in your group sees your answers. When you are done fold the paper twice and keep it (closed) on your table

Each group will receive some subjects on a sheet of paper. 
You will have 15 minutes to discuss the similarities & differences between England and The Netherlands.

Discuss the topics in groups

 In groups you wil discuss the topics from a video, so do you agree on what you saw in the videos about your country or not?

Make your own quiz

In groups you are going to create your own quiz for other groups. Try to include questions about typical English/Dutch topics (like food, holidays, etc.)

Typical food

What food is typically Dutch and what food is typically British?
First the Dutch people will make a list of typical English food and the English people are going to make a list of what they think is typical Dutch food, then after 5 minutes you will compare your results in your group.
