Today's goal: after this lesson you should know how to make plurals and what the exceptions are.

When a word ends with a snake-sound, we add -es

one glass - two glasses

one couch - two couches

one kiss - two kisses

-y

When a word ends with a -y then you look at the letter before the -y:

* When there's a vowel before the -y: + s

- one toy - two toys

* When there's a consonant before the -y: the -y changes into ie

- one puppy - two puppies

When a word ends with an “F” or “FE”,  you change the “F” or “FE” into -ves

- one leaf - two leaves

- one knife - two knives
