Aims for coming lessons

by the end of the this week:

I can write an article of 150 words about traditions and customs that seem strange to you.

What am I looking for?

1. You can use the words and expressions from Unit 4.5 to write your article lively and interesting.
2. You can use the past simple and past continuous correctly in your article
3. You can apply the correct structure of an article.

What are we learning?

By the end of the lesson series, I can write a 100-150 word article about a celebration the student attended, such as a wedding anniversary.

What am I looking for?

• At the end of this lesson series students can write an article in a lively and interesting manner with the help of the words and expressions provided in Unit 4.5.

• At the end of this lesson series students can use the past continuous correctly to describe the setting in your article about a celebration the student attended.

• At the end of this lesson series students can apply the structure of an article.

What did we learn last week?

1. You can use the words and expressions from Unit 4.5 and use the past simple and past continuous correctly in exercises

What was I looking for?

By the end of this lesson:

1. I can explain the difference between the past simple and the past continuous using at least 2 different examples
2. I can use at least 5 words from the wordlist of Unit 4.5 that are new to me in sentences in a short text
3. I can identify and use at least 4 expressions to talk about something that happened 

What are we learning today?

By the end of the lesson, I can to write a structured article that includes an introduction, body, and conclusion, effectively incorporating the expressions from Unit 4.5 and appropriately addressing the specific information and language required for each section.

What am I looking for?

• At the end of the lesson, students can apply the structure of an article, including an introduction, body, and end.
• At the end of the lesson, students can incorporate the expressions of Unit 4.5 in their article appropriately.
• At the end of the lesson, students can determine what information and language the introduction, body, and ending paragraph should address.
