meervouden maken?

Irregular plurals

Plurals is het maken van meervoud. Bijvoorbeeld: 

box - boxes.      tables - tables. 

Je hebt ook meervoud bij onregelmatige woorden. Dit zijn woorden die niet standaard een S krijgen in het meervoud. 

Bijvoorbeeld: child - children. 

Irregular plurals

Sommige woorden hebben een eigen meervoudsvorm; je moet deze uit je hoofd leren. 

Tooth - Teeth.     Mouse - Mice.    (Wo)man - (Wo)men.  Foot - Feet

Sommige woorden krijgen ook GEEN meervoudsvorm maar blijven te zelfde:

Fish - Fish.        Sheep - Sheep.          Deer - Deer

I had several ....... (knife) in my drawer.

There are so many ...... (fish) in the sea.

I lost two of my ..... (tooth) at the dentist yesterday.

We spotted about 10 ....... (wolf) the other day.

Our house is filled with ...... (mouse)

Future tense

de Future Tense = de toekomende tijd. Dit betekend dat het in de toekomst gaat gebeuren. 

Je hebt hier 4 manieren voor: 

- Will 

- To be going to

- Present Continuous

- Present Simple 

Will 

Je gebruikt will bij beloftes, aankondigen en besluiten. 

I will do my laundry tomorrow, I promise.

I think we will win the lottery. 

To be going to

Je gebruikt am/are/is + going to + hele ww als je wilt aangeven dat iemand iets in de toekomst van plan is. Maar de plannen zijn nog niet concreet gemaakt. In Nederlands gebruik je vaak het woord: gaan 

I am going to call you later. 

It is going to rain today. 

Present Simple

Je gebruikt de PS om te praten over vasstaande toekomst, rooster of schema. 

The plane to London leaves in an hour. 

School starts at 08.25.
