Verb + ING 

Use verb+ ing after the following words 

avoid, can't stand, enjoy, finish, (not) mind, miss, practise, stop 

Example 

I avoid using my phone during class. 

Verb + ING

Also use verb + ing after prepositions. 

I'm looking forward to seeing my grandpa. 

Use the correct form
I can't stand (to work) after hours.

Use the correct form
I miss (to travel) to far places

1. to travel

verb + to-infinitive 

Use verb + to-infinitive after the following verbs

agree, allow, ask, choose, decide, forget, hope, learn, offer, plan, try, want, would like/love 

Example 

I agree to sign your paper. 

Use the correct form
I (to hope) become a good photographer in the future.

! IMPORTANT !

Some verbs can be followed by either the to-infinitive or the -ing form

love, like, hate, prefer, start

I love taking photos of cats. 

Write two sentences. One where you use the -ing form & one where you use the to + infinitive
