How is coal formed?

300 million years ago!

The Netherlands was located around the equator.

It looked like a tropical swamp.

How is oil formed?

200 million years ago!

It was much warmer back then. Most of Europe was a shallow sea.

Why was the sea level much higher during this time period?

Paris Agreement

The Paris Agreement sets out a global framework to avoid dangerous climate change by limiting global warming to well below 2°C and pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. It also aims to strengthen countries’ ability to deal with the impacts of climate change and support them in their efforts.
