Present Simple

1. Om te praten over tijdschema's 

The plane arrives at 18.00 tomorrow.

She has a yoga class tomorrow evening.

The restaurant opens at 19.30 tonight.

Present Continuous

1. Voor toekomstige afspraken

I'm meeting Jim at the airport later.

I am leaving tomorrow.

2. Plan staat vast

Joe is making dinner tonight.

The team is playing soccer on Saturday.

am/is/are + going to + infinitive.

1. Voor toekomstige afspraken

I'm meeting Jim at the airport later.

I am leaving tomorrow.

Verschil met 'be going to'

Be going to is voor plannen (nog niets staat vast)

Present Continuous is voor afspraken (er zijn al dingen geregeld)
