Read the texts:

Preliminary (Olympics)  & Elementary (Graffiti)

- Underline unknown words - find the translation

- do the assignments

Answer the question (write about 10 sentences)

PRELIMINARY - What are you memories of the past Olmypics? Who were known Dutch athletes? How many medals did the Netherlands win...

ELEMENTARY - What do you think about graffiti? Is it art or vandalism. Write a few arguments why you think that way...

TOPIC: Fairy tales

We are going to do a couple of activities based on different fairy tales for the next few weeks

Activity 1:

 Search for the fairy tales online and make a list of them

- Make sure it is in ENGLISH

Let's take CINDERELLA:

1. Good character(s) = HEROES

2. Bad character(s) = VILLAINS

3. Place and time = SETTING

4. Problem = TWIST

5. No problem = RESOLUTION

Activity 2: Writing

Think of one characters from these fairy tales. 

If you were one of the fairy tales characters, who would you be?

Why?? 

Write 2 sentences about why you chose that character!

Is it because of his/her personality? Because of his/her powers...?

Activity 3: Write down 3 things about your character (without saying who he/she is)

For example:

- She has 2 step-sisters

- She lost her shoe

- She must return to her house before midnight

Then we will guess!

Activity 4: Speaking - EXPERTS

Groups of 4-5

- You are an expert on the topic!!! 

- Explain it in a way that is as clear as possible

- Washing your hands

Activity 4: Speaking

Make up a story about a guy named Jack.

Every group thinks of 1 sentence.

Then the next group continues.
