First conditional

We use the first conditional to refer to real or likely future events. 

If school cancels classes today, I will go home. 

If I am offered cake, I will eat it. 

First conditional

We form the conditional using:

If + present tense  /  main clause - Future tense

If school cancels classes today, I will go home. 

If I am offered cake, I will eat it. 

First conditional

If my mom is baking cake, I am going to offer to help her

I will have finished my studies next year, if you just trust me.

If we stay in school for another year, we will have been going to school for 5 years.
