senior year and almost ready

for college or university.

Yet, what should’ve been carefree,

great and simply amazing

is bloody depressing, you see.

Motivation gone, isolation on,

lessons online, friends in screens,

increasing fatigue, yawn yawn.

What’s the point, honestly?

Why not just give up?

Not even aiming at mediocracy.

Well …

look at where you are,

the fact you are here, is enough

and if so, lower the bar.

Step by step, that’s how you go

and then the balance shifts.

It will still be though, I know.

But don’t give up, focus.

Take a breath or maybe two.

It’s just challenging, not hopeless.
