Meervouden en bezit

GOALS

1. Het correct vormen en gebruiken van meervouden.

2. Het onderscheiden en correct gebruiken van bezittelijke voornaamwoorden en de apostrof-s constructie.

De regels voor meervoud

Standaardregel:

zet -s achter de noun (zsnw)

toy - toys

Spellingsregels:

1. medeklinker+y verandert in -ies (baby - babies)

2. -f/-fe verandert in -ves (knife - knives)

3. s-klank krijgt -es achter de noun (witch - witches)

4. sommige moet je uit je hoofd leren (child - children)

De regels voor bezit

Enkelvoud

Krijgt altijd een 's achter de noun of name

My brother's bicycle / Jess's car

Meervoud

Krijgt 's achter de noun als deze niet eindigt op -s

The men's locker room.

Krijgt ' achter de noun als die wel eindigt op -s
