Part 1 Speaking Exam: Pronunciation
In the first part of your speaking Exam you will read a part of a text out loud to assess your English pronunciation.
We will pay attention to different sounds and words when scoring your points:
the Th sound, U sound, Ed sound, Longer words, Strange spelling words and Accent.
In the preparation time 5 minutes before your speaking exam you will get the text you are going to read and pronounce for your exam. In this time you will have time to read through the text, so you know what the text is about when reading it out loud for your exam.

Part 2 Speaking Exam: Conversation skills
Can you improvise and respond in a conversation?
You will get a description of the situation you are in.
You will have to listen to what your conversation partner (teacher) is saying.
You will respond by translating the Dutch sentences.

1. Study the words from the vocab lists. (check)
2. Practise with as many example conversations as possible.
3. Make a frequently used words / sentences list. (!!!!!)

Part 3 Speaking Exam: Monologues / Explain the Pictures
In part 3 of your speaking exam you will have to talk to your teacher for 2 minutes about a certain topic.
On your exam you will perform one of the prepared monologues. The other topic will be chosen by your teacher.
Pay attention!!! You have to do thiswithout any notes.
Tip! Zorg ervoor dat je tijdens het oefenen de tijd bijhoud met een stopwatch om te kijken of je lang genoeg spreekt.
