Comes down to who/that and which/that

- Who/that is used for people

- Which/that is used for things

That is the girl	who/ (that)	found my wallet.
I missed the train	which/that	would bring me to work.

Example

They are often used to connect two sentences:

These are the tickets. They cost $20.

These are the tickets that cost $20.

Het onderwerp in de tweede zin valt weg.

I liked the actor. He was wearing a gold costume.

I likes the actor who was wearing a gold costume.

Modal verbs

Must / have to / had to / will have to

used in the present, past and future. 

Must / have to 

Used in the present

Must: When we think it is very important or necessary to do something. Vaak gebruikt bij instructies. (musn't)

Have to: When we think it is important or necessary to do something, often because it is a general rule or are facts. (don't have to)

Had to / will have to 

Had to: when we talk about obligations in the past

Will have to: when we talk about obligations in the future

Example

All students must be at school at 07:30, otherwise they will miss the bus.

Students don't have to bring their coats and bags to the classroom.

Students will have to return their books at the end of the year.

Students had to stay home during covid.
