Er zijn regelmatig mogelijkheden voor een gesprek met de mentoren van uw kind om de voortgang te bespreken.

Ouders kunnen op elk moment van het schooljaar een afspraak maken met de mentor.

There will be termly opportunities for a meeting with your child’s class teacher to discuss progress. 

Parents are also welcome to schedule appointments with the teachers at any point during the term.

• Eerste contact binnen de school  voor leerling en ouders / The first contact for students and parents in relation to school matters 
• Bijhouden studievoortgang (verzuim, resultaten, sociaal-emotionele ontwikkeling) / Keeping track of study progress (absenteeism, results, social-emotional development ) 

2-wekelijkse mentorgesprek met de teamleider. Periodiek gesprek met SMW en Decaan.

De mentor probeert altijd binnen een dag te reageren, anders binnen 2 dagen. The class teacher always tries to respond within a day, otherwise within 2 days

Internationale Schakel klassen 

ISK Internationale SchakelKlas

A newcomer from 12-18 years old who comes to the Netherlands first starts at the ISK school. The international transition class (ISK) at Johan de Witt is the place for children who have recently arrived in the Netherlands.

At ISK, the main focus is on learning Dutch while also helping the pupils to adjust and settle in to their new way of life

ISK Internationale SchakelKlas

Pupils can start at ISK at any point during the academic year.

Pupils are allowed to attend ISK for about a year. The actual duration depends on each pupil’s specific needs. Some pupils manage to achieve a sufficient level of language proficiency within less than a year.

A large proportion of the time in the classroom is spent on helping pupils to read, speak, write and understand Dutch. The other subjects are maths, social sciences, English, art lessons and sport.

ASSESSMENT  - JIJ TOETSEN

Once you have been at our school for approximately 3 months, we assess how much you have learned by means of computer based tests (Dutch, English, maths). The tests assess the level of reading and listening.

Procedures

Ziekmelden / Inform the school of illness (report illness)

• Ziekmelden kan alleen via de Magisterapp - report in Magister
• Alleen je ouders melden je ziek, iedere dag opnieuw!

Onder schooltijd / Falling sick during school hours

• Bij de balie - bij een concierge/beveiliger - school reception, the concierge, security guard
• Daar bellen ze naar huis en alleen als er een ouder/verzorger is gesproken, mag je naar huis. - parents will be contacted/ informed

• Te laat komen 
  

• Bij te laat komen word je niet meer toegelaten in de les. Je blijft in de aula tot het volgende uur begint. Bij te laat komen moet je de volgende dag om 7.30 uur melden bij de balie.

* Arriving late to class

Students arriving late will not be admitted to class. They stay in the canteen until the next lesson starts. 

If students arrive late, they must report to reception at 7:30 am the next day.
