Adjective aka bijvoeglijke naamwoord

An adjective is a word you use to describe a person, place, or thing

beautiful, happy, careful, good

Emma is a careful driver.

Adverbs aka bijwoord

An adverb is a word you use to describe a verb, adjective, another adverb

beautifully, happily, carefully, well

My sister always drives carefully.

Adjectives/ adverbs spelling 

To make an adverb out of an adjective we normally ad an ly

careful  - carefully

beautiful - beautifully

happy - happily  - pay attention, in this case y from happy  becomes i

There are some exceptions:

good - well; fast-fast; often-often (there is no such a word as oftenly )

Recap Adverb & adjective

Adjective (voegt toe aan naamwoord.)

(That is a beautiful dress)

Adverb (voegt toe aan een werkwoord.)

Vaak woorden met +ly

(She dances beautifully.)
