Use future with "Present Simple": (hele ww zonder to/ bij she/he/it +S)

- Dingen die volgens een vaste tijdsplanning verlopen (bijvoorbeeld een dienstregeling of een rooster).

Je gebruikt de present simple ook:

- om aan te geven dat iets vaker voorkomt (of nooit) of een gewoonte is

- bij werkwoorden die iets te maken hebben met de zintuigen (smell, taste, sound etc)

Adjectives - bijvoeglijk naamwoord

• Zeggen altijd iets over een zelfst. naamw.  

Bv. A Beautiful day/a green book/an irritating song 

Just learn by heart. 

Adverbs - say someting about

1. Verbs> How things are done
   The children protested loudly (adj =loud > adv = Loudly)
2. Adjectives> It is terribly dark
3. Another adverb> They acted very angrily
4. The entire sentence > Luckily, we were right on time. 
   
   Basically about anything but nouns (bijwoord)

How are they made?

Plaats y/ly achter een adjective. Some verandert er iets aan de spelling.

The future

4 vormen van de future:

• Will
• To be going to
• Present continuous
• present simple 

Will + hele ww

Examples:

- I will bring you home after the party.

- I will go swimming if the sun shines tomorrow.

To be (am/is/are) going to + hele ww

Examples:

- I am going to visit my grandparents tomorrow.

- Look outside! It is going to rain!

Use future with "to be going to":

- Als je iets van plan bent

- Voorspellingen waar je bewijs voor hebt

Use future with "Present Continuous" (am/is/are + ww + ing):

- er is al een afspraak is gemaakt/iets is vastgelegd.

- iets gaat binnenkort gebeuren (nabije toekomst).

Behalve voor de toekomst gebruik je de present continuous ook om:

- aan te geven dat iets NU aan de gang is

- aan te geven dat iets IRRITANT is (you are always picking your nose)
