Aim

By the end of the lesson you can write your introduction paragraph

The speech

Your speech should be 3 minutes (max 30 seconds more)

You will give your speech to PLT during test week

You will be asked questions about your speech (so be aware of different perspectives!)

28th November  - aim and three arguments (teacher gives feedback)

5th December 1st draft - peer feedback

7th December 1st draft speech due in Magister - teacher feedback

12th December final draft due in Magister - no feedback

• The first sentence of your body paragraph should be the idea that you want to dicuss within that same paragraph --> the topic sentence. 
  
• Use it as a guide in writing the next sentences. 
  
• Stick to the point. Make sure that you write only what needs to be written. 
  
• Don't clutter your sentences skip any irrelevant information. 
• The supporting sentences provide examples and/or evidence and provide specific information. 
• The conclusion sentence restates what you claim in the topic sentence.
