Exercise D
1. It’s about Susan.
2. She only takes an absolute minimum of baggage.
3. Any of the following: one extra set of clothes, a sarong, clothes pegs, black electrical tape, dental floss, some toiletries (tweezers, a toothbrush, cotton buds), some money, gold, some necklaces.

1. Credible means that something is believable. The other three words all mean that something is not strong and can be damaged quite easily.
2. Global means worldwide. The other three words all have to do with the law.
3. Lacking means something is absent or missing. The other three words all have to do with people or things belonging to a certain area.
4. Quality means whether something is good or not. The other three words all refer to how much there is of something.
5. Alongside means something is located beside something else. The other three all mean that something is really important.

2. She doesn’t want to get too comfortable and settled (because she wants to keep on challenging herself).
