-Je kan who/which/that hier weglaten als het niet om het    onderwerp van de zin gaat.

-Er is geen komma en er staat een onderwerp achter

2. extra, niet noodzakelijke informatie

My friend, who is a pilot, is coming tonight,

  -tussen komma's
  -Je mag GEEN that gebruiken
 -Je kan who/which/ hier NIET weglaten

"Whom" gebruik je in een zin als er een voorzetsel (kastwoord) vóór staat.

> The girl, to whom I was speaking, was really pretty.

Als het voorzetsel er achter staat gebruik je "who"

> The girl, who I was speaking to, was really pretty.

3. Whose en whom

"Whose" gebruik je als het gaat om  iemands bezit.

> That's the guy whose phone we found.

> Dat is die gozer wiens telefoon we vonden.

Whose kun je vertalen als het Nerderlandse "wiens".
