side goal: NEVER say "I'm doing a stage" again when 
you mean you're doing an internship. 
Dutch stage = internship in English. REMEMBER

Grammar
The next slide is about grammar. 

In Dutch we say "ik zit in de trein" in English we say "I'm on the train".
In Dutch we say "ik ben op school" in English we say "I'm at school"

words like "in/at/on/for" are super confusing in other languages. That's why we'll practice some today. And because the theme is work, we'll look at "work at/in/for/with/on/out"

Work at, in, for, with, on, out
Work at: place. I work at a bank. He works at his desk all day.
Work in: field or industry. I work in fanancing. He works in education
Work for (in opdracht van): company, person: I work for Rabobank. He works for Jack Parsons.
Work with: body part, tool, person. He works with his hands. She works with Sheila. I work with computers
Work on: task/action. I work on finance reports all day. He is working on his lessons.
Work out: means to exercise. I work out twice a week.

Writing
Now that you have read the text, look at the text again and answer the following questions:
1.  How does the writer start the letter? (aanhef)
2.  how does the writer finish the letter? (afsluiting)
3.  There are 4 paragraphs (alineas). Every paragraph has a different purpose (doel). For each paragraph, answer what the purpose is. 
  1. I am writing to you....
  2. I am eighteen years old...
  3. I am hard working...
  4. I hope I have shown....

Vocab
Study the folowing Quizlet set. You might have to sign in, you can do this with your facebook or school account. First, read the words, then practise by choosing an option on the left (learn, write, spell, test, match, gravity)

One of the words is entry-level. This can be said about a job. An antry-level job is a job for people with no experience in that field (=startersfunctie).

- In the link below there are three job vacancies.
- Read the first paragraph of each vacancy.
- Decide which company you like the best.
- Next week you will write a cover letter for this vacancy (so you don't have to start writing today)
