Onbepaal lidwoord: a/an

Bij beroepen, functies en godsdiensten gebruik je meestal A/an.

Wanneer een beroep of functie maar door één persoon tegelijkertijd uitgevoerd kan worden, gebruik je geen lidwoord.

- He is a salesman.

- He is captain of this ship.

- He became managing director in 2001.

Onbepaal lidwoord: a/an

In sommige gevallen gebruik je in het Engels wel a/an wanneer je dat in het Nederlands niet doet. In het boek staan nog meer uitdrukkingen.

Voor hundred, thousand, million en billion gebruik je a.

Na without en half gebruik je a/an.
