Subject: Reciprocal Teaching/ Congres Nieuwegein Holland
Dear mister Hattie,
Last week Friday the 9th of November I was present during the congress of Visible Learning in Nieuwegein, Holland.
This was a very inspiring day, thanks to both your presentation and the workshops.
At the beginning of the day we had a short conversation on Reciprocal Teaching. You told me all the different components of RT are equal ly
important. As modeling is an important part of RT, I would like to understand the effectsize of modeling on learning outcome regarding comprehensive reading. I have asked this question during the workshop on metacognitive skills but the trainer couldn’t give me the effect size of modeling.
Furthermore you told me something about the Bloom’s Taxonomy. I would like to know some more about your point of view on this subject regarding the impact on comprehensive reading skills.
As you asked me to send you an email on my questions I herewith send my questions,
Kindest regards,
Jenny van der Velde Bouwhuis
