Wanneer gebruik je een imperative?

--> Je gebruikt imperatives om een commando, instructie of bevel te geven.  (NL: gebiedende wijs)

Waar of wanneer kom je deze vorm tegen? (bv: in de klas)

Regel: 'imperatives' beginnen met het hele werkwoord van de handeling die jij of iemand anders moet doen.

Regel: Zet Don't vooraan de zin.

Can + infinitive: vorm

Wat is de vertaling van can?

--> Can = Kunnen

Wat is een infinitive?

--> infinitive = hele werkwoord ((to) ask, (to) be)

Can + infinitive: Vraagzin (?)

I can ask my cousin to play.

Can I ask my cousin to play?

Famous people can be rich.

Can famous people be rich?

Regel: Bij een vraagzin zet je "can" vooraan de zin. 

Can + infinitive: Ontkenning (-)

I can ask my cousin to play.

I can't ask my cousin to play.

Famous people can be rich.

Famous people cannot be rich. 

Regel: Bij een ontkennende (-) zin zet je "not" achter "can".

LET OP! "Cannot" schrijf je aan elkaar!
