Met de 'gebiedende wijs' kan je aangeven wat iemand wel of niet moet doen.

- Bevel     Come here!

- Waarschuwing    Watch out!

- Advies    Drink plenty of water.

- Verzoek    Don't smoke here.

- Instructie    Open your book on page 20.

Rule (write down in your notebook!)

Hele werkwoord (zonder 'to') + de rest van de zin = imperative

Eat your breakfast!

Werkwoord vooraan in de zin + de rest van de zin

Bij ontkenning:

Don't play loud music.

Don't + hele werkwoord + rest van de zin
