Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord gebruik je om iets of iemand 

te omschrijven. Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord wordt vaak gevolgd door een zelfstandig naamwoord.

That is an amazing girl.

We all love that funny movie.

I think she is a terrible teacher.

Adjectives

*Je zet een bijvoeglijk naamwoord voor het zelfstandig naamwoord.

*Bij sommige zinnen zet je ze achter het werkwoord.

Dit is bij de volgende werkwoorden: 

to be (am, are, is, was ,were, been), to look, to appear, to seem.

Recognising intonation

You listen to the speaker’s intonation to try to find out how they feel; happy, sad, or angry, for instance. 

Apart from showing how they feel, speakers often emphasise the most important information.
