Grammar 14 - The future

Er zijn in het Engels 4 manieren om over de toekomst te praten.

In deze LessonUp gaat het over 2 manieren:

Met de Present Continuous

Met Be going to + werkwoord.

Hier komt de uitleg -->

Als je praat over afspraken in de nabije toekomst, waarvan je de tijd en/of plaats al weet:

Am/is/are + werkwoord + ing

She is seeing her sister at 2pm.

I am going to the cinema today

We are meeting tomorrow

Als je praat over een plan (staat nog niet vast) of dingen waar je geen invloed op hebt

Am/is/are + going to + w.w.

I'm going to work this summer

He is going to go to England

It is going to rain today

Present continuous

Tijd en/of plaats staat vast

She is meeting them at five o'clock

To be going to

Een plan dat nog niet vast staat

I'm going to invite him to the party

Voor dingen waar je geen controle over hebt

The leaves are going to fall

Dus kort samengevat:

Heb je het over een afspraak, waarbij tijd en/of plaats al bekend is

dan gebruik je:

Am/is/are + het werkwoord met ing

We are doing our homework this afternoon!

We gaan nu oefenen!
