Which sentence is correct?
Future tense

1. The train will leave at 8 am.
2. The train is going to leave at 8 am.
3. The train is leaving at 8 am.
4. The train leaves at 8 am.

Will + verb (= hele ww)

• iets aanbieden: I will help you with your homework. (spontaan)
  
• belofte: I will pick  you up; I promise!
  
• aankondiging / besluit: The wedding will take place next       summer
  
• voorspelling zonder bewijs: I think our team will win the match.
  

to be (am, is, are)+ going to + verb

- Als je iets van PLAN bent. (in het NL: gaan+ww)

I am going to visit aunt Betsy tomorrow.

- Een voorspelling met 'bewijs'.

Look at all those clouds. It is going to rain soon!

Present Continuous = am, is, are + ww+ ing

- afspraken waarvan de tijd en/of plaats al vast staat (geregeld) + in the NEAR future!

We are having dinner at a restaurant at 6.30.

I am flying to Paris next week.

Present Simple (ww / ww+(e)s

- Vaste tijden / rooster / schema / dienstregeling

The stores close at six.

The plane leaves in ten minutes.
