2: Shared ideas about the supernatural and the spiritual, common rituals and practices and the same ideas about right and wrong.
4: It strengthened communication and co-operation as people shared ideas and rituals. Common ethics made living together easier, so societites grew and harmonised. Religion could also be used by a leader or nation to demonstrate strength to other nations.
