What do you do before you listen?

Before listening

• If you have a task or questions, check whether you understand it correctly.
• Relax and focus on the audio.

What do you do while you listen?
Wat moet je doen tijdens het luisteren?

During listening

• It is not necessary to understand every single word. Try to ignore those words that you think are less important.
• Try to think ahead. What might happen next? What might the speaker say?

What do you do after you listen?
Wat doe je nadat je hebt geluisterd?

After listening

• Think about the audio again. Have you understood the main points?
• Use your notes if you need to.
• Check whether you have completed your task correctly.
