Present Continuous: gebruik + regel

Gebruik: we gebruiken de Present Continuous wanneer we praten over gebeurtenissen die nu/op dit moment aan de gang zijn. 

Regel: Bevestigende zinnen (+):  verb to be (is/am/are) + (verb+ing) 

Voorbeeld: I am walking, she is talking, they are swimming.

Present Continuous: Ontkennende zinnen, vraagzinnen + keywords

> Ontkennende zinnen (-):

- isn't/aren't/am not + (verb+ing)

            

> Vraagzinnen (?):

? Is/am/are... + (verb+ing)

Keywords: now, right now, at the moment, Look! Quiet! Listen!

Present Continuous: uitzondering op spelling

LET OP: Bij werkwoorden die eindigen op een -e laat je de -e weg 

voordat je -ing toevoegt. 

Voorbeeld: Write => writing

LET OP: Bij hele korte werkwoorden die eindigen op klinker, gevolgd door een medeklinker, verdubbel je de laatste letter. 

Voorbeeld: Stop => stopping / plan => planning / swim => swimming

State verbs: wat zijn ze eigenlijk?

State verbs = zijn ww die GÉÉN continuous form hebben. Je kunt ze NIET met de present continuous gebruiken. 

Deze werkwoorden kun je wel met de Present Simple gebruiken. Dit moet je uit je hoofd leren. Deze werkwoorden zijn:

love, hate, like, know, think, see, feel, understand, want, need.

dan vul je alle 3 vormen in in het Engels:

Zorg ervoor dat je alleen een spatie tussen de werkwoorden gebruikt, anders word je antwoord fout gerekend!
