The Quran

The special book of Islam is called the Quran.

It is read by the Imam during prayer time in the mosque. 

Muslims treat the Quran with a huge amount of respect, as they believe it is the actual unaltered words of Allah, their God.

The Quran is usually placed on a special wooden stand to be read by the Imam (person leading the prayer)

Muslims believe how they should live their lives is all instructed within the Quran.
