Goal: Understanding the Future tense, adverbs & adjectives, adjectives of frequency

Future Tense

• Present simple future
• will + infinitive
• to be going to + infinitive
• present continuous future

• Present simple future

Use: schedules

Use: intentions / plans (not arranged)

• present continuous future 

       - am/is/are + ww+ing

Use: arranged plans

       - will be + ww+ing

Use: action probably going on for a longer period of time at a specific time in the future

"This time next week they will be giving a speech"

Bijvoeglijk naamwoorden & Bijwoorden

Adjectives & Adverbs

• Adjectives say someting about a noun

       Placed before the noun

                                         "The green dragon" / "the cute dog"

• Placed after verbs as: to be, to seem, to appear, to look, to taste, to smell, to feel

• Adverbs say something about a verb

       Placed after the verb

                                       "she sings beautifully" / "he speaks honestly"

• Add "-ly" to an adjective make an adverb

Exceptions:

Adverbs of Frequency

always, often, never, sometimes, usually, etc.

• Placed before the verb!

But:

• after a form of "to be"
