One &  ones worden in het Engels gebruikt, zodat je woorden niet onnodig hoeft te herhalen in een zin.  In plaats van het zelfstandig naamwoord schrijf je dan one of ones. 

- Enkelvoud gebruik je one
- Meervoud gebruik je ones ( tip: de letter 's')

Bijvoorbeeld: Where are my clothes? The ones I just bought?
