In pairs you are going to spin the wheel, in this wheel you find certain categories that are in your vocabulary as well.

If it comes on that certain title, one of you is going to ask you to make a sentence with that word in that category.
After that you take turns.

5. Swap roles with your partner.

Present Continuous
What is it?

You use the present continuous to say that something is happening right now. Words and phrases that are often used with the present continuous are: Look! Listen! at the moment, right now, this instant.

  1. Step 1: use a form of "to be" (am/are/is)
  2. Step 2: Add the main verb +ing
  3. Step 3: Congratulations you have made a present continuous!

You also use the present continuous to describe activities that last longer.

  • I​'m reading a wonderful book.
  • We are cooking dinner.


  • You can also use the present continuous to express annoyance or irritation. Then you use words like always, still, again.
  • You are always singing so loudly!
  • She is still writing texts on her phone!

  • Why? You use the Present Simple to talk about: Facts, habits or things that happen regularly.
     
  •  We walk the dog three times a day.
    &

  • Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.
  • Why?  You use the present continuous to talk about things that are taking place right now.  

  •  We are walking right now.
    &
  •  The water for my tea is boiling at the moment.
