There are 2 kinds of prepositions:

• Prepositions of time
• Prepositions of place

Prepositions

On (location)

You use "on" when you talk about:

• Roads: On route 99
• Surfaces: On the roof
• Vehicles: On the bus/train

At (location)

You use "at" when you talk about:

• Buildings: At school.
• House numbers: At number 14"

In (location)

You use "in" when you talk about:

• Cities: in Amsterdam
• Countries: in the USA
• Rooms: in the classroom
• Buildings: in school

• A certain time: in a few minutes
• Someone almost being late: You are just in time.
• Parts of days: in the morning/evening
