What's the difference in meaning?
1: Can you stop by the supermarket to buy bread?
2: Can you stop buying bread from the supermarket?

What's the difference in meaning?
Stop to buy bread from the supermarket. (verb + to infinitive)
Stop buying bread from the supermarket. (verb + ing)

1: You are going to the supermarket to buy bread. 
2: Someone says that you should stop buying bread.

You use verb + ing when: 
After prepositions (voorzetsels) or these words: avoid, can’t stand, enjoy, finish, mind, miss, practise, stop.

I miss hearing her voice.
I think listening to music is relaxing.
The police arrested her for speeding.

You use verb +  to infinitive (hele ww) when: 
After these words: agree, allow, ask, choose, decide, forget, hope, learn, offer, plan, try, want, would like.

Olive tries to workout every week.
He wants to move to the England.
The students agree to listen to the teacher.
