Wanneer gebruik je in het Engels hoofdletters?

Word Order

Een Engelse zin is anders opgebouwd dan een Nederlandse zin. Er zijn twee belangrijke verschillen:

- In het Nederlands noemen we eerst de bepaling van tijd en daarna pas de plaats. In het Engels is dat juist andersom.

We gaan morgen naar Amsterdam. / We travel to Amsterdam tomorrow.

De basisstructuur van een Engelse zin is: wie doet wat waar wanneer.

De plaatsbepaling staat dus altijd voor de bepaling van de tijd, behalve wanneer je de tijd wilt benadrukken. Dan zet je het helemaal vooraan in de zin.
