The future tenses
There are 4 forms in English that you can use to talk about the future. Do you remember which ones they are?


Slide 2 - Slide

4 basic forms:
1. Will and Shall (for example: I hope the lesson will be cancelled.)
2. Present continuous (for example: I am eating out tonight.)
3. To be going to (for example: Look at that snow storm! Now I'm going to be late for school)
4. Present simple (for example: The new Marvel film starts at 8pm.)

In your grammar reference book on p. 59-60, there is an explanation of all these future tenses (4 forms). You'll also find lots of example sentences there. If you have the book with you, you can open it on page 59.

On the next slide, you'll see a short overview of the future tenses.

Task
Every group gets one future form. With that form, you have to make one correct sentence per group.

For example: group 1 gets the present continuous.

Their sentence: In February, we are going skiing with my whole family.
